Li'i Bear

Li'i is one of the three "PAC Leaders" and one of the greatest inspirations in our lives. Li'i Bear spent part of her puppyhood in Hawai'i and then made the long journey to California where she spent her days lounging on the couch, soaking up attention from roommates, and meeting new friends at the Costa Mesa dog park and dog beaches.

Li'i inspired us to take our first cross-country road trip from California to New York. Although she is not a huge fan of the car, she loves visiting new places, testing out the various beds in dog-friendly hotels, and she quickly becomes accustomed to new environments. We have taken four major family road trips with Li'i - she left her pawprints at Mount Rushmore, stood before the Corn Palace in South Dakota (presumably waiting for it to turn to popcorn), played in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, chased squirrels and became a sister in Houston, walked through the streets of New Orleans, and marched for the humane treatment of animals on the National Mall in DC.

Of all of the places that Li'i has visited and lived, she enjoys Syracuse, New York the most. She loves the snow and some of her favorite pasttimes include making snow dog angels and going cross-country skiing. She enjoys the wide open spaces, relaxing by the Lake in Skaneateles, and she feels pretty fancy in her snow boots!

Li'i is the best dog that we could ever ask for. We never worry about taking her anywhere as she is the most trustworthy dog we have ever known. Li'i is also stubborn and an independent thinker, she definitely thinks she knows better, but will begrudgingly give in to our wishes with some extra effort. We find her stubborn side to be quite charming and she rewards us tenfold whenever she decides it is cuddle time. Li'i is an expert cuddler and master of the treats. As long as she has a bed, pillow, her humans, and Rebel, she is a very happy pup.

Li'i is the true inspiration behind K9 PAC. She quickly became the center of our world and continues to enrich our lives each and every day. Li'i reminds us that it is a privilege to share our lives with these remarkable creatures, and that with that privilege comes a great deal of responsibility. Li'i is proud to be a chairpuppy for K9 PAC where she can continue to bark out on behalf of her canine pals and fight for their protection and welfare.

We love you Li'i Bear! Thank you for reminding us to enjoy the little things in life - like when you snuck the chow mein out of the trash and had the most satisfied and proud look on your face when we caught you. We look forward to many more years of happiness and cuddles.
