Dainon Steiner

Dainon Steiner is a Co-Founder and Chairperson of K9 PAC. He has a political science background and experience working in the United States House of Representatives and the Maryland General Assembly. He was inspired to become involved in animal protection and welfare by his two American Bulldogs, Li’i Bear and Rebel, and by the heightened levels of abuse and discrimination aimed at dogs in recent years. Dainon believes that political action is a necessary ingredient in any animal welfare endeavor. He started K9 PAC to give dogs a voice in the political process and to show politicians that dog lovers are a powerful constituency.
Dainon holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine and a master's degree in Social Science from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He is also in the final stages of obtaining a law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
Melis Steiner

Melis is a Co-Founder and Chairperson of K9 PAC. As a life-long animal advocate, vegetarian, and champion of cruelty-free products, Melis has a true passion for animals. Her dedication to dog advocacy is especially strong, as she has been greatly inspired by her two American Bulldogs, Li'i Bear and Rebel.
Encouraged by the work of organizations like HSUS and Best Friends Animal Society, Melis decided to start a political action committee that is dedicated to furthering the needs and goals of the canine community. Through K9 PAC, Melis aims to influence the political system, one politician at a time, by aligning the goals of politicians with those of the animal welfare community. She aims to advance the ideal of humane treatment for all animals, and to encourage a society where animal welfare is viewed as a priority and as an American value.
Melis holds a bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of California at Irvine and a master's in Business Administration from Rice University. Melis specializes in business development, consulting, and marketing and has held managerial and executive-level positions in a variety of start-up and entrepreneurial enterprises.
