K9 PAC encourages you to transform your passion into action. Animal advocacy can easily become part of your daily life regardless of personal, physical, or financial limitations. We are in the process of compiling a wide variety of websites that enable individuals like you to take action in ways that are convenient to your lifestyle and schedule. The programs listed below range in focus, type of contribution, and level of commitment. If you are a busy advocate, you may opt for a daily, one-second mouse click to donate food (for free) to shelter and rescue animals. Animal Care Expo w/ HSUS

Happy Paws for Mental Health Walk-a-thon 2010

The walk-a-thon will help to raise money for a variety of programs for the Mental Health Association of Prince George County. 50% of the proceeds will go directly to the Kole's Best Friend Campaign, which was created to help Kole, a boy with Autism and severe learning disabilities, to get a service dog.

The event will also feature:

Strut Your Mutt

This event includes a parade, vendors, dog & owner contests, training shows, dog adoption show, a kids play area, and food for both people and dogs.

Registration includes: Doggie goodie bag, event t-shirt, and entry into the "Strut Your Mutt" parade and dog-owner contest.

Ongoing Donations & Activities

Animal Rescue Site

(www.animalrescuesite.com) Make a free donation at The Animal Rescue Site by clicking the big purple button on the home page. This site generates revenues through advertisements and retail sales of a wide variety of animal-related clothing and accessories. The Animal Rescue Site then donates that money to the various animal charities that they support. With every click, you will be donating food to a homeless animal in need. You can click as many times per day as you want - one click a day could make all the difference. For more information, click the link above.

Coats for Cubs

(www.hsus.org/furfree) Donate your used, old, or inherited furs to animals in need through the Coats for Cubs program. The furs are sent to wildlife rehabilitators who use them to warm and comfort oprhaned and injured wildlife. More than 200 rehabilitators throughout the US and Canada currently participate in the program. Click the link above for more information on the program and where to send your donation.
